Automating Air Conditioners for Thermal Comfort

During my internship, I focused on learning how to enhance the efficiency of all-weather air conditioners using Reinforcement Learning and Markov Decision Processes. My primary goal was to design a model adhering to the ASHRAE 55 standard for thermal comfort. Given India's diverse climate, I incorporated real-time data from outdoor and indoor humidity and temperature levels into the model. This ensured a continuous adaptive response to achieve optimal thermal comfort for users in various climatic conditions.
